DESCRIPTION:

The mission of OIWC is to equip, educate and support women in the outdoor industries to help them recognize their professional goals.Much of OIWC’s support comes from Corporate Memberships which provide access to professional development tools.To ensure Corporate Members take full advantage of member benefits, OIWC is seeking a volunteer to maintain our Corporate Member Advocate roster and serve as a regional Advocate.The OIWC Advocates embody the vision of OIWC by actively participating in regional events and online activities and encouraging participation from our Corporate Members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create a roster of OIWC "fans” that work at companies in your region.
  • Partner with these advocates in assisting corporate members in taking full advantage of their OIWC membership benefits, such as providing tips and best practices to inspire participation in the organization.
  • Encourage individuals that work for corporate members to join OIWC and attend regional events.
  • Implement creative strategies to increase participation in the organization.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours each month to OIWC
  • Ability to attend events in your region
  • Highly effective written and verbal communicator
  • A fun and outgoing personality with a commitment to inclusion and diversity
  • Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to meet goals and objectives
