The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC) is hosting two events in the Pacific Northwest to provide an opportunity for networking, education and discussion
surrounding the group’s recently launched online guide entitled, The
OIWC Guide to Turning Your Passion into Your Profession, sponsored by
KEEN Footwear and plum.
The events will open and close with
networking sessions, recap The OIWC Guide, and via a panel discussion offer insight from local, influential women on
how to succeed in the workplace and hone new business skills.
“The Outdoor Industries Women’s
Coalition is excited to share our Guide and offer these networking and
professional development opportunities to Portland and Seattle. In such
outdoor-focused communities, we hope these events encourage, educate
and facilitate those women interested in turning a love for the
outdoors into a prosperous and successful career,” said Sally Grimes,
executive director of the OIWC. “The OIWC appreciates the local
sponsors—without their support this event would not be possible. Thank
you Keen Footwear, Columbia Sportswear, plum, Twenty Four Seven,
Yakima, Filson, Outdoor Research, ExOfficio, Schoeller, Cascade
Designs, REI, and Moving Comfort.”
The events are sponsored by the OIWC Education Foundation, designed to aid all women and generate champions across all outdoor industries. To support these and other similar events, donate to the Foundation today.
