**Come prepared for the group discussion on Marketing to Women
According to the Marketing to Women conference website, Women's Spending Power = $5 Trillion – so we're obviously buying more than shoes and purses. Women account for 85% of all consumer purchases including everything from autos to health care and we represent the majority of the online market. With those statistics in mind we will break into groups and discuss the following questions:
- When was this ‘switch' to women having the spending power? And how did it happen?
- Even though most, if not all, of us here are women, what can we all do to better understand the female consumer?
- Why is marketing to women that different from marketing to men? Are we really that dissimilar?
