Women's Product Showcase - General Information for Companies

INTUITION & INGENUITY

A Women’s Product Showcase

After a successful launch at ORSM in 2009, OIWC is again providing you the opportunity to attract attention to your women’s products at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market show in January 2010.

New for this show: Raffle element to drive traffic to your booth, and opportunity to showcase your product during OIWC’s Gathering.

Stretch your marketing dollars further and capture the attention of buyers, journalists and industry professionals in an innovative and interactive way by telling the story of your products that are designed by women and for women.

  • Your product must be designed specifically for women and have a women’s story behind it. The story can be about your commitment to women, a specific woman who designed or tested the product, or the women who own or are in upper management positions of your company.
  • OIWC will produce a printed Showcase Guide that includes your women’s product, image, short description, booth number, and your women’s story. The Guide will be distributed to buyers and journalists attending OR as a road map to finding key women’s products, plus hand delivered to each booth at the show.
  • Participation includes a raffle to win a gift certificate from your company. To enter, participants must visit your booth and fill out a raffle ticket. OIWC provides a raffle box, tickets, and balloon to bring attention to your booth and your women’s products. Raffle boxes are collected at noon on day #3 of the show, and winners announced during OIWC’s Gathering that night.
  • An email blast of the Guide will be sent to the entire OIWC database prior to the show and all stories will be listed on www.oiwc.org through May 2010.
  • In addition, you have the option of setting up a small display of your women’s products during OIWC’s Gathering on the night of Day #3.
  • OIWC's promotions include but are not limited to: Showcase Guide hand-delivered to every booth at the show; pre-show eblasts, ads and other promotions; at-show ads and displays; library bin of Showcase Guide; Showcase Guide distributed to retailer lounges, press room, and other key locations.

Cost to participate

A standard Guide placement includes ½-pg of an 8.5” x 5.5” booklet. Your first ½-pg includes company name and logo, booth number, product name/description/image, and your women’s story. Each add’l ½-pg can be customized to suit your needs.

  • OIWC Platinum and Gold sponsors: ½-pg at $50 each
  • OIWC: Silver and Bronze sponsors ½-pg at half the cost ($150)
  • Non-sponsors: ½-pg at $300 each

Gathering Showcase: New this year...Reach a prime audience by displaying your women's product during the OIWC Gathering on the evening of Day #3 (Saturday, January 23). The Gathering typically welcomes 150 women in the outdoor industries who join together to network and help honor the winners of OIWC's prestigious Pioneering Woman and First Ascent Awards.

Display spaces at OIWC’s Gathering are very limited and are first-come, first-served. Rates are the same as above; you must have at least ½-pg in the Guide to participate.

You are responsible for setting up your display prior to the Gathering (which starts at 5:30pm) and tearing down after the event is over (7:30pm). A display space is 6' wide x 3' deep; you must provide your own mannequins, tables, etc. Any items left behind will be considered a donation to OIWC.

Make it work for you
In addition, you can participate in this campaign by organizing your own focus on how your business, your products, your HR and hiring policies or your work environment promotes and serves the needs of women – as employees, consumers, or both.
  • Women’s product promotion: Raffle off or sell specific product to drive interest in that collection or to collect names for follow-up campaigns to your customers
  • Booth event: Host an event or happy hour at your booth focused on promoting your women’s product or initiatives
Regardless of how you choose to participate, OIWC will promote your efforts and drive traffic to your booth and your website.

What your sponsorship dollars mean
Your participation not only promotes your women's product, but also highlights the women behind the product and the story of your company's commitment to women. In doing so, your contributions helps OIWC further enable women’s abilities to achieve their professional and life-balance goals. The funds raised through this campaign support OIWC's networking and educational programs, helping us reach more women throughout the industries.

Thank you for your support and participation!
