Kerry O'Flaherty has worked in the ski and snowboard industry for more than 25 years. She started her career as a retail sales associate at Sno Haus Ski Shop in Long Island, New York when she was just 16 years old. While at Sno Haus, O’Flaherty met Margo Camacho, a sales representative for Seirus who would later become her mentor and inspiration to become an independent sales representative.
At the age of 24, O’Flaherty launched her own sales agency, KerryO Sales. The company currently represents several brands in the ski and snow industries including Giro, Seirus, Jones Snowboards, YES, NOW, Dare2b, Athalon, Goal Zero, Vew-Do, and Snurfer.
O’Flaherty is also the current president of the Eastern Winter Sports Reps Association, marking the first time in 45 years that any rep group in the U.S. has had a female president. She is a longtime supporter and volunteer for the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC). She is also a proud supporter and volunteer for Stoked Mentoring, the Hoods to Woods Foundation, and Waves for Water.
She attributes her success to her mentor, her parents, and husband and continues to be inspired by the increase of women working in hardgoods. She believes that “when you have a passion to serve, you cannot fail, no matter your gender.”
O’Flaherty is happiest paying it forward and helping others, and currently resides in York, Maine with her husband.
